About Us - Introduction

Residents at St LouiseIrish Centre Housing (ICH) is an Irish led Association providing accommodation and support to single homeless people.

With over 400 units of accommodation we provide services to many vulnerable people and those with support needs, including former rough sleepers, people experiencing mental health difficulties, alcohol & drug dependencies, young women and older homeless people.

Our resident and service users come from diverse backgrounds, and where possible this is reflected in the team of dedicated staff who work for ICH.

Our accommodation is comprised of direct access hostels, self-contained flats and shared houses.

Our Core Values

To provide locally based, high standard and responsive housing management and support services to residents and service users, appropriate to individual need
To promote the inclusion of an Irish dimension in all social policy
To promote and respond to the housing and support needs of the Irish community in Britain
To support the involvement of residents and service users in the management of the organisation
To ensure that all who use our services are treated with dignity and respect
To ensure that our services are inclusive and non discriminatory

Our Histories Our Futures

Back in 1999, ICH published research by Colm Power which looked into the history of Irish immigration to Great Britain, why Irish Centre Housing came into being, and its plans for the future.

Here in PDF format is a copy of "Our Histories Our Futures" by Colm Power.
